While many associate it with the tragic moment on August 6, 1945, when it became the target of the world's first atomic bomb attack, it has since evolved into a modern, cosmopolitan city known for its exceptional cuisine and vibrant nightlife. Despite this, some structures like the Old Bank of Japan Hiroshima Branch and the Rest House still stand, showcasing their resilience. The Peace Memorial Park is dotted with various statues dedicated to the victims of the atomic bomb. In essence, Hiroshima itself serves as a living history book, narrating its own past.
